Drain Separator Valves
What is A Drain Separator ?
- What is a Drain Separator? It is a device used to filter and separate condensate steam, clean hot steam or compressed air at the outlet to put hot steam into use.
- In a steam/air piping system, drain (water) causes problems, such as rust and water hammer. It also decreases the dryness and heat quantity content of steam and thermal efficiency in a steam system. The DS-1 and DS-2 are separators making use of centrifugal force and impact force to effectively separate drain inside piping.
- In the steam system, the use of a water separator valve will avoid the phenomenon of energy loss, creating condensate and water hammer in the pipe line.
