Advantages of Copper Gaskets
Copper is widely recognized as one of the most effective gasket materials due to its unique combination of sealing capability and material performance.
- Excellent Conformability: Soft and malleable structure allows perfect adaptation to sealing surfaces, minimizing leakage.
- Outstanding Thermal Conductivity: Efficient heat transfer in high-temperature operating conditions.
- Superior Corrosion Resistance: Maintains long service life under various environmental conditions.
- High Electrical Conductivity: Suitable for electrical and specialized industrial systems.
- Excellent Machinability: Can be fabricated into complex gasket geometries with high precision.
Manufacturing Process of Custom Copper Gaskets
At VINDEC, custom copper gaskets are manufactured using advanced abrasive waterjet cutting technology.
This process utilizes a high-pressure water stream combined with abrasive media to achieve accurate and clean cutting for copper, brass, stainless steel, and aluminum materials.
Key capabilities include:
- Precision cutting and profiling
- Hole drilling from Ø0.030" (0.76 mm)
- No thermal distortion
- Excellent dimensional accuracy
- Consistent finished quality
